NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to Minnesota Statute 103B.331, that the Otter Tail County Board of Commissioners is considering the adoption of a resolution establishing a special taxing district for the purpose of levying tax within the district to implement water planning and projects authorized by Minnesota Statute 103B.301 to 103B.355.  The adoption of the resolution will be considered at a public hearing of the County Board in the Commissioner’s Room at the Otter Tail County Government Services Center, 515 West Fir Avenue, Fergus Falls, Minnesota, on Tuesday, May 24, 2011, at 7:00 o’clock p.m.

The specific areas that will be included in the special taxing district are all platted and un-platted (real, personal and mobile homes) properties in the following Sections and Townships, including the City of Rothsay:

Carlisle Township – Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 12, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34 and 35,

Orwell Township – Sections 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33 and 34,

Oscar Township – Sections 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35 and 36,

Trondhjem Township, including the City of Rothsay which is located within the boundaries of Otter Tail County - Sections 19, 20, 21, 29, 30, 31 and 32, and

Western Township – Sections 3, 4, 5, 8 and 9.

In addition, portions of the following Sections and Townships could be considered at the public hearing for inclusion in the special taxing district:

Carlisle Township – Sections 10, 11, 13, 14, 15, 22, 23, 26, and 36,

Elizabeth Township – Sections 7, 18, 19, 30 and 31,

Fergus Falls Township – Sections 6, 7 and 18,

Orwell Township – Sections 2, 11, 14, 23, 26, and 35,

Oscar Township – Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 10, 11, 12, 13, and 24,

Trondhjem Township - Sections 10, 15, 16, 17, 18, 22, 23, 27, 28, and 33, and

Western Township – Sections 2, 6, and 10.
